Nestled on over 7 peaceful acres in Delmar, Delaware, The Pet Ranch is a home-based boarding facility owned and operated by David and Lisa Moore - lifelong residents of the Eastern Shore. Conveniently located less than a half a mile from Route 13, our ranch is easily accessible to pet owners throughout Sussex County, DE, Wicomico County, MD, and surrounding areas. We offer a safe, spacious, and serene environment for your pets, featuring scenic walking trails and four dedicated play yards. With flexible hours available by appointment only, we're committed to providing personalized care that fits your schedule.

With our Luminor Blackcomb UV water treatment system, we guarantee high-quality drinking water for your pet. Additionally, our fresh air exchange and air purification system effectively reduces air contaminants, ensuring that your furry friend breathes clean and fresh air every day.

Our facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness to ensure the safety and well-being of all pets. We diligently clean and sanitize daily using professional-grade KennelSol and Top Performance 256 multi-purpose products. These practices help us maintain a safe and hygienic environment for all pets in our care.

The property is professionally monitored 24/7 for security and fire/smoke. Owner lives on premises, ensuring that guests are never left alone for extended periods.

Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are our priorities! Accommodations include 24 sq. ft. Gator Kennels, featuring privacy panels to create a stress-free environment for your dog, complete with elevated Kuranda orthopedic dog beds for optimal relaxation and stainless-steel dog bowls.

Dogs can enjoy pet television and soothing music throughout their stay, with a calming ambiance at night to promote restful sleep.

Our cat friendly space includes a private, spacious, and luxury cat villa, perfect for napping and stretching. Cats will have free play/lounge time on a rotation, ensuring every pet feels right at home.

Furry guests will enjoy supervised socialization with other dog guests, provided their owners permit it. We carefully consider the sizes and temperaments of the dogs to ensure a safe environment.

Dogs will have outside access multiple times daily allowing them to use the bathroom, exercise, stretch, and have playtime in our spacious play yards.

We have "A Ball" at The Pet Ranch, where we believe that a tired dog is a happy dog!

Policies & Procedures
Pre-Boarding

To secure your pet's stay, we require a $50 deposit.

All pets must be current on vaccinations prior to 2 weeks from boarding with us. A copy must be provided to us via email in advance of boarding, no exceptions.

Dogs - Distemper, Parvo, Parainfluenza, Rabies, and Bordetella.

Cats – FVRCP and Rabies

We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times, based on customer convenience.

Drop-offs and pick-ups are by appointment only.

We kindly ask that you not socialize your dog at a dog park within two weeks of boarding.
Arrival / Departure

Payment for services is due at check-out.

All pets are required to be on a leash or in a crate upon arrival and departure from the pet ranch for their safety.

All pets are inspected upon arrival for health concerns.

We require that your pet is current on flea and tick treatment and free of parasites.
-
We can administer flea and tick medication at an additional cost to you if needed.
Guidelines

For our safety and the safety of your pet, we cannot accept pets that are unable to be handled and/or are aggressive. If your pet displays behaviors that are unsafe after boarding, you will be contacted to make arrangements for pick up.

We cannot accept pregnant pets or pets in heat.

We encourage you to send your pet's normal food for two meals per day (morning and evening), as it is better for their digestion. However, we will provide premium pet food for an additional charge of $5 per day if needed.

We will gladly accommodate special feeding instructions or medication needs at no additional cost (medication must be in original packaging, no injectables).
Disclaimers
We must be notified by phone call or email at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled date/time of arrival if you wish to cancel your reservation; otherwise, your deposit will be forfeited.
There will be no pick-up/drop-offs on the following holidays: Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4th (Independence Day), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve (after 12 noon), Christmas Day.
There will be a 3-night minimum for select holidays.
